Stepstone: Germany unattractive for managers

By: TS

Stepstone, european job exchange organization, published a survey whichs says 71% of german managers wouldn't mind to work abroad but only 14% of european managers would agree to work in Germany.

British managers demonstrate the highest degree of flexibility when it comes to decisions on where to work: 88% would agree to work abroad (swedish 72%, german 71%). Denish managers show lowest flexibility here. Only 46% would agree to work abroad. Countries preferred by european managers are the United Kingdom (35%), France (30%) and Spain (29%). Germany landed at rank 15 here. Especially in the realm of engineers - traditionally a 'german job' - the situation is disastrous for Germany. Only 14% of european engineers would like to work in germany but two thirds would love to work in France. Jürgen Theisen, speaker at Stepstone, mentioned that additionally political basic conditions in Germany would lead to migration of qualified experts. The survey is based on 21.000 managers and experts.
